Following God’s Call

I grew up in the church, going to church camp, singing specials, being a part of youth group, etc.
I knew when I grew up that God was calling me into full-time ministry. I learned guitar in high school and started a Christian worship band with some buddies.
As I was in college, I was a part-time youth minister at a christian church and music minister at my home town Christian Church. God was tugging on my heart to full-time ministry.
Time and time again, I would look into full-time ministry jobs around the US and they all wanted full-time experience. I was struggling with that, because I had tons of experience in leading worship and youth groups but it was never full-time.
I ended up landing a job at a tv station and shot and edited commercials for 3 yrs or so. I then became the Promotions manager. During that time I was also playing lead electric at a local church and my wife and I were helping in the youth group and leading worship for the group.
Every so often I would message my friend Clint to see if there were any job openings within the Crossing. My wife and I have been praying and praying for full-time ministry for me and I'll never forget the time and the place when Clint finally called me and offered me a position as the children's and youth guy at the Pike County location. I took his call and was standing outside the tv station. Later I found out that Clint was just a block away when he called me. God has answered our prayers.
Being back at home for a year and a half, God was still tugging on my heart to continue in leading worship. God answered our prayers again and moved us to Kirksville! We have been in Kirksville five years now doing what God has called us to do. God is so so good and faithful!
