Making Disciples: Our mission at Fuel is really pretty simple. We want to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We have made that our primary focus for a couple of reasons:We believe that because Jesus died and rose back to life everything he ever said was validated, and should be very important to us.
He said that we should make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).
We are sold out to the concept of making disciples. We think it is the primary function of the church. We also think that it is crucial that we take our cues from Jesus on how to become disciples and make disciples. He modeled for us with his 12 disciples how to lead others to deeper faith. And the example of the disciples shows us that Jesus wants real people just like you and me to follow after him.
Jesus has shown us that the best way to grow as a disciple is in a small group of people. We embrace Jesus small group model at Fuel and place everyone in small groups or “teams” as we like to call them. We do this so everyone can fully experience what it means to be a disciple.
